ABOUT US
Since the 1990s, INCOMPAR has been designing and installing sun shade systems for the most demanding projects in the Mediterranean. Not because it is a market opportunity — because we believe that shade should be as precisely engineered as the buildings it serves.
We are a third generation family business, originally from Munich. Since 1999 we are the exclusive installation and distribution partner for SunSquare in Spain. We chose SunSquare not because of the commercial arrangement, but because it is the the global standard and the only system that meets our own standards: made to measure, structurally honest, and built to last a generation.
Every project we take on is designed and installed by our own team, from our atelier in Campos. We do not subcontract. We do not ship product without service.

ABOUT US
Born in Vienna in 1962, Gerald Wurz grew up in his father’s tailor shop — surrounded by fabric, pattern, and the discipline of the cut. He trained as a mechanical engineer in Graz, then read industrial design under Paolo Piva. Textile from childhood, engineering from school — the combination would define everything he built afterwards.
In 1995, Wurz patented the closed-cable-circuit sun sail — the mechanism that lets a tensioned fabric roll cleanly into a single extruded profile. It became SunSquare. Thirty years and twenty thousand installations later, the patent still defines the category. The Red Dot jury called it a new level of architectural luxury in 2008.
INCOMPAR is the exclusive partner for his work in Spain. Every sail we install begins as one of his hand drawings — kinetic, engineered, and refusing the shortcut between idea and structure.

Our metal workshop, design studio, and installation team are all based in Campos, in the south of Mallorca. It is where every system is engineered, every drawing is produced, and every decision is made by a person — not a process.
